Abhira promises to change, thanking Armaan in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai

Tonight's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai episode begins with Maira saying that a mother is every person’s first and last world. Feeling guilty, she calls herself foolish for hating her own mother. Maira apologizes to Abhira, but Abhira lovingly asks her how many times she plans to say sorry. Maira replies that she will apologize as many times as needed. She says Abhira is surrounded by love from all her little “monkeys” and adds that now Abhira cannot leave them and go anywhere.

Mukti then gets emotional and says that although Abhira may have considered her unlucky at times, she has always loved her wholeheartedly. Mukti expresses that she wishes to be born as Abhira’s daughter in every lifetime so she can repay even a small part of the love and care Abhira gave her. Abhira stops Mukti from crying and asks her not to become too emotional.

Abhira later opens up about the pain she suffered while staying away from Maira. She recalls constantly fearing that Meher might hurt Mukti. However, now that both her daughters are finally with her, she feels peaceful and complete again. Abhira prays that no mother should ever have to face the separation and suffering she went through. She says every child deserves to stay close to their mother.

Soon after, Abhira pulls Armaan aside to talk privately. Mukti and Maira become worried and ask Kaveri if they made any mistake because Abhira suddenly left the stage. Kaveri senses that something unpleasant may happen next.

Abhira tells Armaan that he should speak to Vidya. Armaan becomes upset and questions how Abhira can expect that from him after everything that happened. Abhira explains that Vidya still has not understood her mistakes, and because of that she herself has not forgiven her. She says there is no point in forgiveness until Vidya truly realizes the pain she caused. Despite that, Abhira tells Armaan that she still wants him to have peace in his life. She urges him to at least speak to Vidya once because otherwise Vidya will die longing for him. Mukti and Maira overhear the conversation and are shocked. However, Armaan refuses to forgive Vidya. Abhira again requests him to at least talk to her once.

Elsewhere, Vidya decides to destroy the shirt she had stitched for Armaan. Just as she is about to ruin it, Armaan arrives and stops her. Vidya becomes emotional and asks if he has finally returned. Armaan quietly says he only came to collect the shirt. Before leaving, he takes Vidya’s blessings. Vidya becomes hopeful once again after seeing him.

Later, Armaan breaks down emotionally. Kaveri comforts him and encourages him to let out all the pain buried inside his heart. Armaan cries and says Vidya’s actions left him shattered and directionless.

On the other side, Manisha introduces Disha to her friends as a homemaker. Disha does not feel bad and instead forgives Manisha. Aryan notices their interaction from afar. Manisha later tells Disha never to believe that a mother-in-law cannot become a mother. Disha emotionally replies that Manisha has truly become a mother figure in her life.

Meanwhile, Armaan decides to celebrate Mother’s Day in memory of Shivani and Akshara. Abhira gets emotional while remembering Akshara, while Armaan recalls his moments with Shivani. Watching them, Maira and Mukti become worried that despite loving each other deeply, Armaan and Abhira are still unable to reunite. Maira wonders how they can bring them closer again, and Mukti comes up with an idea.

The two girls organize a basketball match and intentionally place Armaan and Abhira on opposite teams. During the game, both try hard to protect the balloons they are carrying. At one point, Abhira notices a woman about to get hurt by the basketball. Without thinking about herself, she rushes to save the lady, and in the process her own balloon bursts.

Armaan becomes upset after seeing this. Instead of understanding her intention, he ignores Abhira and sternly tells Maira and Mukti to focus on protecting their balloons. Abhira tries explaining that she did not burst it deliberately, but Armaan continues playing angrily. Watching their constant misunderstandings, Maira wonders why Armaan and Abhira still fail to recognize the love they have for each other.

In the precap, Armaan questions Abhira about why she always puts herself in danger while trying to save others. He asks whether she used to get angry at Akshara for behaving similarly, then why she cannot change herself now. Abhira thanks Armaan for making her realize her mistake and promises him that she will try to change her habit.
