Anupama’s ‘new journey’ promo sparks mixed reactions on social media, viewers question repetitive track!

Star Plus has unveiled a fresh promo of its long-running show Anupama, starring Rupali Ganguly, hinting at yet another dramatic turning point in the lead character’s life. However, instead of excitement, the promo has triggered a wave of sarcastic reactions and memes across social media.

The newly released clip shows Anupama heartbroken and alone, beginning another chapter of her life in Goa. Struggling to survive, she appears to start from scratch by setting up a small food stall near the beach. Amid this struggle, an unknown man played by Sachin Tyagi – steps in as a guiding presence and offers her support and life lessons, hinting at a new equation in her journey.

The upcoming twist is reportedly connected to the ongoing track. Currently, the storyline shows Anupama accompanying Prarthna to a temple. In a tragic turn of events, Prarthna dies while saving Anupama from a speeding truck. The incident leads to heavy accusations from the family, with Anupama being blamed for the tragedy. Broken by the blame and circumstances, she decides to leave everything behind and start afresh, which leads to her Goa chapter.

While the makers aim to present another emotional rebirth for the protagonist, many viewers on X reacted with mockery. Several users joked that Anupama begins a “new journey” every time the story reaches a crisis point. 

Others sarcastically wrote that every leap in the show turns her from wealthy to struggling again, while some questioned why the narrative repeatedly circles back to the same formula.

Some viewers even suggested that the makers should consider ending the show or rebooting the storyline instead of repeating similar arcs.
